Visual Merchandising Manager

Showcase is a leader in the retailing of emerging Trends in health, beauty, home and toys, but when you look at our stores, that’s not always clear.  Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing, you will strategize and create a compelling visual experience that drives sales and reinforces our Trend leadership.

Responsibilities

• Part of a 10-person Sales and Marketing team, based in our Head Office (410/407 in Brampton)
• Design and create the visual look for all in-store merchandising across Canada
• Determine the visual display for new products and publish merchandising planograms
• Analyse buying, sales, space productivity, and trend reports to decide on merchandising strategy
• Initiate and approve all in-store point-of-purchase (POP) signage with the design team
• Initiate and approve product packaging, in conjunction with our buying and design teams
• Develop and source fixtures and displays that fit with our brand image to maximize trends
• Identify best launch strategies for emerging trends by benchmarking trend leaders
• Stay on top of best practices in visual display and communicate opportunities and direction to buying and selling teams

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in retail visual display
• Comfortable with both display strategy and hands-on in-store execution
• Highly creative, with strong fashion and style sense
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
• High skill level in motivating, leading, and influencing others
