Communications & Training Specialist

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be filled by an outgoing communication specialist that can keep pace with emerging product trends and develop training to support our sales goals. As the lead point for communication with stores you need to be an influencer who can optimize communications strategies to keep pace in a fast retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop training using appropriate methodologies for e-learning
  • Develop onboarding training to quickly get new hires up to speed
  • Develop product/trend training on demand and in conjunction with Sales and Buying teams
  • Star in recorded videos and live video-conference training
  • Develop communication strategies to support company initiatives
  • Moderate our internal product knowledge forum to address best practices, issues, and suggestions
  • Assist with updating and communicating policies and procedures (sales, inventory, loss prevention, customer service, merchandising, health and safety etc.)
  • Analyze current training and communication methods and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Liaise with Social Media team to leverage existing and new content for training and marketing
  • Provide reporting on operational performance and training completion

Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong attention to detail ensuring all materials are accurate and error free
  • Comfortable presenting material and communication on camera
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.)  and video/photo editing software
  • Preferred:
    • Communication experience in a fast paced environment
    • Retail Management Experience 2+ years
    • Experience in building and delivering training content (retail preferred)
